Matthew has spent 10 years serving on a variety of charity boards and as part of senior leadership teams. This combination of hands-on experience and strategic oversight has equipped him with valuable insights into governance, decision-making, and organisational dynamics enabling him to develop tailored solutions that effectively address the challenges charities face and enhance their fundraising capabilities. 

Matthew brings over 20 years of achievement in fundraising and partnership development with particular expertise in high value and corporate relationships gained in both delivery charities and grant-making organisations. This dual perspective equips him with an understanding of the motivations and challenges faced by both sides of the funding field, a knowledge that will help you unlock new opportunities.

He founded the Philanthropy Office to leverage his knowledge of the giving landscape for philanthropists and charities across the North of England. His goal is to inspire a movement that empowers charities to be more informed, confident, progressive, and impactful.
